The Heroes Project delivers a number of initiatives that help us all to recognise equality and experience inclusion. We provide a range of opportunities that people with learning disabilities, their friends and guests can access and enjoy together. So far ‘The Heroes Project’ has been responsible for developing:

  • ‘The Heroes’ – Nationally recognised, multi-award winning popular music group.
  • ‘The Inclusive Entertainment Experience’ – Accessible theatre shows for inclusive audiences.
  • ‘The Heroes Challenge’ – Life skills based scheme enabling people with learning difficulties to demonstrate their abilities.
  • ‘Frogtastic’ – Widely acknowledged premier city based ‘Inclusive Club Night’s’ for the Learning Disabled community and friends.
  • ‘The Melody Maker Experience’ – (Phase.1) providing the opportunity to make and perform music in a professional sound recording environment. (Phase.2) nurturing those demonstrating hidden talent and performance skills, providing the opportunity for individuals to develop as recognised performing entertainers and artists.

As well as organising these opportunities and introducing new ideas from time to time, ‘The Heroes Project’ also makes sure that its activities are well organised and delivered to high standards.

More than 10,000 people a year come into contact with a ‘Heroes Project’ initiative and the organisation has more that 2000 regular service users who access its initiatives. We believe that everybody has a right to access experiences within a genuinely inclusive society and our initiatives reflect, encourage and promote this ethos.

Further details of each of these initiatives can be found by clicking the relevant option above.
