Greg and Livesey of The HeroesMelody Maker

If you have dreamed of recording your own CD, your ‘Melody Maker’ Experience starts here!

We can’t promise you stardom, but we can record you performing the song of your dreams and help you to get the best out of your voice. Together with a professional record producer and a helpful production team, you can now enjoy a real taste of how it feels to be a top class recording artist.

The Heroes Project has teamed up with The Cutting Rooms recording studio at The Abraham Moss Centre in Crumpsall, Manchester. The studio is part of City College Manchester, it was used in the film ’24 Hour Party People’ starring Steve Coogan. ‘The Doves’, ‘The Charlatans’, ‘Take That’, ‘Oasis’, ‘Status Quo’ and the ‘Manchester United’ Squad have all recorded here. It is also the place where the multi-award winning ‘Heroes’ pop group have recorded all their music since 1998.

No qualifications or experience is necessary to be a ‘Melody Maker’, but you do need to want to sing. The ‘Melody Maker’ experience is available to anybody who wants to have a go, but you must be at least 12 years old and those under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Also, we must tell you that this particular experience isn’t ideally suited to people with hearing impairments.
